If they let people know it *is* Region 0, they'd probably have more sales.

Yeah I agree....infact I have looked at most of the online retailers,, from the UK and they all list it as Region 2!! :S...apart from the Network Site itself they have it listed as Region 0 (y) and they should know, its their product.

Only reason I can think of,, is that most of the UK stores think its a British DVD,  thus it must be Region 2.

Network themselves,  knew that The Goodies is very popular show down under and other places, so thats why they wanted it to reach as far as possible.....

You could also buy the DVD from ebay (www.ebay.com.au).  A few sellers have the double

DVD set for $A50 which is a good price compared

to approx $A75 if you buy over the internet from

Amazon or Blackstar.  The VHS video double cassette worked out at $A52.

Cheers Ross

Interesting -- The DVD cost me (NZ$): 70.83 from BlackStar, which I would have guessed was closer to  $(AU)60, ... the DVD was also cheaper postage than the video

I had to 'accept' that I was receiving a "Region 2" DVD from them (when I was completing the order)-- even though I knew it was really Region 0 !

If they let people know it *is* Region 0, they'd probably have more sales.

Ok I have just looked at the Blackstar and Amazon sites.  And yes they both say region 2...which is very misleading for many people.

But I am from the Uk I have the new Network DVD and it is Region 0...Honest  I'm lookin at it right now lol.

Also D/L  a couple of episodes from a certain file sharing site...shame their aren't any more

Yes, I did not take the chance with the DVD zone issue.

I purchased the double PAL VHS video cassette from www.amazon.co.uk and it arrived all sealed at my local post office within a week!

The VHS cassettes contain the same digitally remastered versions of the 8 classic episodes.

Kayel--

ignore the hype -- they are all region 0!!  (NOT REGION 2 only)

They play well in New Zealand    ((Until the disk was lost in my DVD player -- still don't know its fate!    ))

OK, this may sound like a stupid question but which is the Network DVD. I went to Amazon UK and they only had region 2. Can you tell me where I can get this region 0 version?

I had a closer look at what my DVD can play. It says anything that includes a 4. I don't know if 0 fits into that...

I'll say it again: stupid zones!!!

I've popped by to find out the latest on whether the DVD has been released in Australia... and it hasn't. I don't think I can wait until August. If I was to order the British DVD would it be a different zone to us? My DVD player is specific. Any ideas for getting around this.

Stupid zones... muggenjuggen, mumblemumble...
