Darn! I forgot all about JB Hi-Fi for the DVD. I just went to the good ol ABC Shop and didn't think twice.
What a silly gal I am...;)
Oh, well..when that next DVD comes out I will be prepared!

I just can't believe how high the abc's prices are, compared to "reality!"
Places like Ezy DVD not only have better prices, but a much better range of the "BBC" stuff!

I agree. I saw it for $38 here in Perth (at JB Hi-Fi stores vs $49 at the ABC shop) which amazes me because prices in Perth for this type of thing are NEVER cheaper than other parts of OZ. Actually, I'm a little peeved with the ABC shop because their prices for DVDs are consistantly higher than everyone else's. What's more they've changed their loyalty rewards program - for the worse. This getting even with John Howard for cutting funding to the ABC crap is going a little too far (by $11 to be precise) >-(

I went to Knox Shopping Centre in the S-E suburbs of Melbourne today to buy the DVD.
I went to the ABC shop where it was selling for $55.
I then went to Borders bookstore where it was selling for $50.
I then went to J-B Hifi where it was selling for $40. No prizes for guessing where I bought the DVD from!
JB-Hi stores are all over the place in Melbourne (not sure if they're around in other Australian states), I'd heard they had a reputation for giving the best value with regards to DVDs and this proves it. No one should pay more then $40 for this DVD.
