The Age 27 December 1973, earliest I've found.

I'm splitting it in two for size.

Thanks Lisa!
I'm finding lots of odd pieces of stories on them in the newspapers, do you want me to post them?

The third image (at the bottom of the page) is from the Goodies episode "The New Office".  Bill is sitting on the floor between Tim & Graeme (though he's a little hard to see in this image).

The Chaser is/was satirical and they put a lot more effort into their newspaper than their TV shows, where they would more typically show up somewhere they weren't wanted in some kind of costume.

Here's the link to the original. Any idea where the third image of Tim and Graeme is from?

Here's Andrew Hansen on Dr Who, still a pretty fair tribute (there's no known Wollongong Doctor Who Fan Club).

Cool!  Though if it was meant to be satirical maybe that isn't a good thing...?

The Chaser comedy troupe launched a satirical newspaper of the same name in 1999, and their column shITe (a review of bad websites) had an unusually praiseworthy selection in their 22 February 2000 issue.
