Subject: 418 - I'm A Teapot error 13/09/2017 09:27 GMT
I spotted something sort of Goodies related, I was amused with a recent discussions in regards to a proposal to remove a web site error called "418 - I'm A Teapot" from the IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force) specification. It is a real ratified web error much like the "404 - Page Cannot Be Found" or "HTTP error 500 (internal server error)" we might encounter from time to time.
I was wondering when such a page might be triggered?
-When a web page that has references in it to Tim Brooke-Taylor goes awry so it sends out in panic a "418 - I'm A Teapot" error. -Alternatively if a building housing a web site server somehow gets encased in concrete? -If your new online bulk order for String fails - then up comes the teapot error. -"I'm a teapot" error comes up on the BBC website approx 1 Nov 2017, as that is when you can no longer download Goodies episodes from their site (as per latest Clarion and Globe newsletter) -Everytime a Union Jack waistcoat is sold online accompanied with a bonus "A-String" - it redirects you to an "I'm A Tea Pot" page!
